Bye Summer.

I forget how much I love this time of year. There is just something about the changing of Summer to Fall that is so refreshing. I love when the grass starts to crunch, leaves start to fall and the hue out my window changes. I especially love that with the beginning of Fall it feels like a restart. It feels more like a restart to me than New Years. There is a quote from The Great Gatsby that says “Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the Fall.”

On the Farm it means hay starts to be packed in the barn, preparations for the Winter months ahead. The cows are much happier in colder weather, so they are ready for a restart too. Football season is in full swing (Charles coaches football at the High School down the road) and I love the sound of football in the background on Saturdays.

This is our first Fall in our new house and I am loving experiencing the changing of the seasons. We love to spend time out on our back porch and can’t wait for Fall nights.

I hope this season finds you well and realizing it is perfectly fine to want to change the page.
